Have you taken ART115 or know somebody that has? If thats a yes then please leave a reply. I spoke with the prof and she said that you do not need to know how to draw or be able to use a pencil pretty much to be able to do good in this course. I use PS and I needed a 3credit so this course sounded perfect. If you have taken ART115 is this true? Can I just use a computer pretty much to do all the work? Or will I actually NEED to know how to draw and the prof is JK'in with me Thanks for a reply, @mattbitter |

Hey I have taken Art 115 last year. It is a great course to take, and not difficult at all. I can't draw worth crap....even stick figures.....and I pulled off a high 80 mark in this course. There is NO drawing involved in this course. Each class involves a different "design presentation"....from making a collage out of pictures from magazines, to making origami. Its a verrrrry good course to take!!! The only big things in the course include a paper on some sort of Organic idea, such as organic clothing or materials, and how well they relate to the idea of "Design" from a short book you have to read (100 pages). Also....there is a photo shoot that you have to complete. You just go out, snap some photos in different locations, and take 5 of them and do them up in Piczo with design characteristics that you will learn about in class throughout the year. It's a very good class, and its very easy to make a high mark in this class. I definitely recommend taking it. Hope that helps. |
